As the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas wars continue to unravel, peace-loving people around the world are worried about another possible war. Iran's nuclear program, analyzing its existence as a threat, has triggered another series of conflicts, with Israel carrying out airstrikes.

Chief of the Iranian Army Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Hossein Salami, Senior Commander Gholam Ali Rashid and others were killed in the attack launched by Israel saying it was necessary for "self-defense". Among the sites attacked was the uranium processing plant in Natanz, where six nuclear scientists were killed. Likewise, the Iranian side said that more than 70 civilians, including women and children, were killed. Iran has also fired a ballistic missile in response to Israel's warning that it will suffer an unfortunate situation. The details of the damage will increase as the attack, counterattack drags on. At the same time, more countries will join the war. Due to the puzzle of political, economic, geographical and military relations, the entire West Asia is likely to be pushed towards war.

West Asia has a long history of war and unrest. However, the wars that followed Israel's founding in 1048 are occasionally referenced. In 1948, the Israel-Arab war took place. In which Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Syria and others who were against the establishment of Israel attacked Israel. In 1956, Israel, Britain and France attacked Egypt. Egypt, Jordan and Syria fought against Israel in 1967.

Similarly, in 1988, there was a war between Iran and Iraq. In 1990, Iraq invaded and occupied Kuwait. This led to the Gulf War and also liberated Kuwait. The Gaza war has become a regular occurrence. Israel's counterinsurgency is still ongoing after the Palestinian militant group Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023. Israel and Iran have repeatedly fought proxy wars. Iran has been supporting anti-Israeli groups such as Palestine's Hamas, Lebanon's Hezbollah, and Yemen's Houthis to keep Israel under pressure. Last year, Iran launched a missile attack on Israel. West Asia has many injuries from internal and external wars. The Israel-Iran conflict is likely to intensify and worsen it.

The history of nearly eight decades of West Asia has proven that conflict never brings a solution. No one can remain strong after winning a conflict, nor can one remain silent after losing. Instead, many negative effects such as death, injuries, disappearances, displacement, separation, physical damage, lack of food and shelter, lack of education and health care, and high prices are immediately visible. Many generations will have to suffer the long-term effects.

Mainly because of revenge, the cycle of war continues to strengthen. Not only the citizens of the countries involved in the war, but also other and distant countries may have to face economic and political crisis. As an opportunity of globalization, citizens of every country are now reaching every country with objectives ranging from labor to education. In 2023, 10 Nepali students were killed in the attack on Israel by Hamas and Bipin Joshi is still missing, which highlights the fact that war or tension anywhere can affect the citizens of distant countries.

Initiatives around the world to end war and advocate for peace have not been successful. However, if the budget invested in war is used in education, health, development, human welfare, not only the concerned country, but the world would benefit. Countries around the world were more prudent, more cordial. There would be regional peace, there would be world peace. Therefore, influential countries and their rulers should take steps to moderate Israel-Iran. Do not add fuel to the fire of conflict. At least efforts should be made to stop the current tension in the status quo. Israel-Iran conflict is also a matter of direct security concern of Nepalese. Especially in Israel there is a Nepali presence. Since Iran has started retaliating, the government should express concern about the safety of Nepali people there. Express your concern to the Israeli authorities.
