The Republic of Nepal was declared by the Constituent Assembly meeting on May 15, 2065 as a result of the struggle of citizens through various means to end the 250-year-long Shah Dynasty monarchy.

Federalism, secularism and proportional inclusive governance are practiced in Nepal as pillars of democratic republic. The faster these systems and arrangements are connected to the citizens, the more theoretical achievements will be transformed into practical achievements, the stronger and more institutionalized the republic will be.
