How to link training with entrepreneurship?

Recently, due to the lack of basic knowledge about entrepreneurship and marketing among the trainees, although the trainings given by the provincial government including the local level are useful, such trainings have not become fruitful.

Last month, Biratnagar Municipal Corporation-11 completed a seven-day sanitary pad making training in collaboration with a local organization. During the training period, 20 participants made more than 100 sanitary pads.

Trainer Malti Acharya encouraged the participants to sell those pads in a one-day exhibition organized by Mahila Samiti under the Federation of Nepal Household and Small Industries on the occasion of Women's Day and some of them were sold.

Whether it is service oriented or productive, in recent times, provincial and local levels have been conducting long and short-term trainings to make youth and women self-employed in coordination and cooperation with various organizations. Most of the participants do not know the basics of entrepreneurship and do not seem to understand the value and importance of training.

What is more sad is that even the training organizations are not able to explain to the participants who have received such training the basics of entrepreneurship or the basics of starting a business. Therefore, the trainees have not been able to connect the knowledge gained from most of the trainings with entrepreneurship. In order to prepare

entrepreneurs, it is necessary for the training organizations to explain the basic knowledge of entrepreneurship to the trainees. However, not all those who take training become entrepreneurs. To become an entrepreneur one needs to know the basics of enterprise or business. Although some of these trainings conducted by the local and provincial governments are repeated by the same trainees, they have not yet become self-employed.

Another important thing is that some of the training organizing organizations are not able to make the criteria of what kind of trainees are needed for the training. On top of that, the trainees themselves have not been able to find out what kind of training they can do business with. In this way, the trainees themselves seem to be in a state of confusion even if they do not know their interest. However, because of such trainees, it seems that in recent times, any training is becoming unproductive.

In the last month of the last financial year, Small and Medium Businesses Federation District Working Committee Morang, with the help of the state government, gave a ten-day training to about 50 women of Biratnagar 11 and 12 to make bags including beads and crystal beads.

Two trained participants affiliated with a local cooperative were given seed capital by a Mankari member who continued the skills acquired during the training for a few months. Lack of basic knowledge about entrepreneurship prevented them from connecting their skills with the enterprise. One participant is making garlands together with another partner. But the garland has not reached the market.

, especially under entrepreneurship training, the subject of how to market your products and services is also covered. Recently, due to the lack of basic knowledge about entrepreneurship and marketing among the trainees, although the trainings given by the provincial government including the local level are useful, such trainings have not been fruitful.

Although most of the trainings given by the provinces and local levels are not fruitful, recently some financial institutions have been organizing long and short-term trainings on entrepreneurship. Also, the Federation of Nepal Domestic and Small Industries has been providing trainings related to enterprise business through its branches in all seven provinces. Similarly, the entrepreneurs and businessmen affiliated to the Federation have not only produced goods, some have also given employment to hundreds of people.

It is important to connect the training provided by the local levels with entrepreneurship. Because the basic knowledge about entrepreneurship is what motivates the trainees to become entrepreneurs. Similarly, according to the words of Eric Schmid, who has been the executive officer of Google and is currently the director of American science, 'entrepreneurs are those people who believe that this world can be different and better. For this, they can create millions of jobs and earn billions of wealth by spending the fertile time and money of their lives.

The list of such entrepreneurs in the world scenario becomes very long. Entrepreneurs are showing their strong presence in the society in recent times. Due to these entrepreneurs, there has been a lot of discussion about enterprise and entrepreneurship in recent times.

Similarly, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and other federal ministers, parliamentarians and stakeholders who participated in the fifth National Labor and Employment Conference held just a while ago emphasized that entrepreneurship should also be developed to create jobs. Not only the federal ministers and parliamentarians, but also the provincial and local governments need to understand that only entrepreneurship can bring the country to the peak of development and prosperity.
