The way to strengthen the republic

The government will not gain popularity and focus on praise for two to four days, if it fails to bring budget and policies and programs to realize structural reforms this time, the responsibility will not be fulfilled by just insulting the monarchists.

The way to strengthen the republic

Certainly there is discontent among citizens, and expectations for swift and concrete reforms are growing. However, this does not necessarily mean changing the system. Knowing that the wheel of time cannot be turned back, the so-called monarchists are talking nonsense of reviving a dead monarchy. For that, an attempt is being made to destroy and cover up the facts by resorting to disorder, chaos, slander and abuse.

Due to the old system, many people have forgotten it and the generation born after 2046 is not aware of it, so it is being propagated like this - let's say, there was a 'Ram Rajya' in Nepal during the active monarchy period, that is, no one was unemployed, poverty did not end, there was no need to go abroad, there was no foreign debt at all, development had touched the sky, everyone in the world would have been shocked when the king of Nepal was called, etc.

The autocratic rule of a king and a democratic republic are in no way comparable. However, efforts are being made to fish in murky waters to see if the discontent among citizens can be quelled.

Gyanendra Shah himself is engrossed in the fantasy of restoring the monarchy and is spending time and resources gathering new and old Panchs, courtiers and monarchists. 17 years ago on 15th June 2065, after the end of the monarchy by the Constituent Assembly elected by the people, Gyanendra, who was mostly silent, recently intensified his meetings in the name of visiting various places, visiting temples, etc.

Gyanendra Shah is a businessman, Bhaipari is a person who has become a king and is the person who played the main role in ending the monarchy by violating the constitution himself. Therefore, it is the duty of the so-called royalists to turn the pages of history once and not make him and his family too much.

Then he went to Pokhara and stayed for a month and on the day of his return to Kathmandu, the royalists made extensive preparations to welcome him. Excited by this, the royalists planned a demonstration on 15th Chait, 2081, which turned into a violent incident. Two people lost their lives, government and private properties worth billions were vandalized, looted and set on fire. This has not only demonstrated the apolitical character of the royalists, but has also shocked everyone.

Since the restoration of democracy in Nepal in 2046, a small group calling itself royalist has been active in politics. The group, which contests elections in the name of the National Democratic Party and talks about monarchy, won a total of 14 seats in the 275-member parliament in the last election, that too with the help of others. What is surprising is that the party that took the oath of the constitution, contested the election under the constitution of the republic and even made the minister after taking the oath of the republic has started to be heard loudly.

RPP leaders also know that the dead monarchy will not be resurrected, but they are talking loudly in the hope that two to four thousand votes can be increased in the name of monarchy. On the one hand, Gyanendra himself did not trust them and promoted a controversial figure like Durga Prasain who has reached old age and people have forgotten him like Navraj Subedi, and on the other hand the Navarajaists within the RPP are working to make the party more controversial.

If we really believe that we will bring a king, then instead of defaming the republic by taking the oath of the republic, if they dare to resign from the parliament, at least they can be said to raise their point in principle. Otherwise, everyone knows that they are doing all these things only to digest allowances and protect royalist shame.

It seems that they took advantage of the weakness of the security agencies during the three corners of Rajawadi's demonstration and managed to get a lot of publicity. Even when Durga Prasai broke the prohibited area by pushing the police by driving the car, the police is being criticized for keeping silent. At least he could have been arrested immediately by shooting at the tires of his car.

It seems that the security agencies are not well prepared. When a person's house was burned, the fire brigade could not reach it, and when there was a robbery, the police did not reach it. From this, the movement was seen as chaotic, violent and provocative, and the weakness of the police administration was also exposed. However, the situation has come to be considered as a success of the police even if the person who was riding in front of his car was found after two weeks with the help of others.

By spending unnecessary time and resources on the royalist movement, the ultimate loss is sure to be the former king Gyanendra Shah. Because, he has violated the agreement of 062/63 public movement. His clear agreement with the parties in the night and heat of the mass movement is to stay inside the country, accept the republic and spend the rest of his life as a merchant citizen, for which the government will pay attention to his family, property and honor. Wherever the anti-monarchy movement has been successful, the monarchy has faced three conditions.

First, accept defeat and live as a normal citizen. For example, Pu Yi, the last emperor of China, spent the rest of his life as a citizen and wrote a two-part book called 'Emperor to Citizen'. Second, run away and spend the rest of your life abroad. Examples include King Jahangir Shah of Afghanistan, King Reza Palhebi of Iran. Thirdly, during the agitation and revolution, there are many instances where the places of the king and his family were completely destroyed.

Among these, Gyanendra Shah chose to violate the first option, as he himself is doing it now, the result may not be pleasant for him. He is a businessman, a person who has become a Bhaipari king and is the person who plays a key role in ending the monarchy by violating the constitution himself. Therefore, once the pages of history are turned, it is also the duty of the so-called royalists not to worry too much about him and his family.

The restoration of monarchy in Nepal is not a possibility and a matter of debate. For that, the efforts of the royalists to drag neighboring India into the dispute have been futile. Even though the photo of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh was put in the procession, India wanted Hinduism and the monarchy would come from it, but all these have turned out to be water bubbles.

On the one hand, the monarchists do not hesitate to say that India has removed the monarchy, but they do not hesitate to say that the monarchy is in the interest of India, although there are differences with the government on some issues, various developments have confirmed that India has no interest and involvement in the affairs of the monarchy.

Some time ago, the Mahakumbh of Hindus was held in Uttar Pradesh, India. Millions of people participated in the Mahakumbh held after 144 years. Although the king of Bhutan is not a Hindu, India also invited him. However, Nepal's former king Gyanendra, who claims to be the only Hindu emperor in the world, was not invited. Whereas, Yogi Adityanath was the Hartakarta of that Mahakumbha.

Recently Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had an open conversation alone in Bangkok, but Durga Prasar, a miscreant who came to India saying that he is hiding inside the country, has reached the control of the Nepal Police.

All major parties are committed to a democratic republic. Congress, UML, Maoist Centre, National Independent Party, Janata Samajwadi Party along with other small parties are united in the matter of republic. These parties have control in Nepal. All these parties are putting pressure on the government to make former King Gyanendra responsible for the violence and to take action against him.

Even if there are differences on other issues, no one can play because all the parties are in the same place regarding the republic. If two to four thousand people are in favor of the monarchy, there is no possibility that the monarchy will come. It is not possible to destroy the constitution made by the Constituent Assembly elected by the people so easily.

On the contrary, it seems that former king Gyanendra will lose more  He himself is 78 years old, his son Paras is a drug addict and infamous. Can't even stand properly. He is accused of destroying his brother Birendra's dynasty. In this case, he is not a popular force. However, it is only an attempt by the monarchists to quell the citizens' dissatisfaction with the government, which has no chance of success.

Confident republicans do not fulfill their obligations. All attention should be focused on addressing the growing discontent among the citizens. The government is preparing policies and programs and budget for the new financial year. If the budget cannot be brought in such a way as to achieve structural reforms, instead of focusing on gaining popularity and two-four days of praise, the responsibility will not be fulfilled by just insulting the monarchists.

If the country does not get the benefit of having a strong two-party government, an experienced and visionary prime minister now, it is difficult to answer the question of when the best system will give the best results. As the public leader Madan Bhandari said, 'things don't get wet'. Therefore, there is no other way to strengthen the federal democratic republic except for the collective counter-regression of the political regression and the effective response of the citizen's dissatisfaction programmatically.
