The state should play the role of leader and leader to make the lifestyle of every citizen eco-friendly to avoid the situation of having to breathe by sending artificial oxygen into the atmosphere.

Breath is what makes animals and plants alive. It is ironic that as important as the condition and availability of breath is to the introduction of the organism, it is especially not paid attention to its conservation in accordance with that importance. The availability of Vayu or air in the existence of the earth, the obstructions in its purity and the bad conditions created are called pollution. It is this state of pollution that deteriorates the condition of the air.
The state of cosmic concern is the lack of air, i.e. oxygen, which is needed by animals, and the lack of air system required by plants. The obstacle created in the purity of the air, which is considered vital air, i.e. pollution, has become a topic of discussion among the human race these days, healthy for breathing.
Kathmandu is consistently ranked number one as the most polluted city in the world. It is taking its place as a matter of global concern and contemplation as it ranks among the top polluted cities according to the air quality measurement index AQI. How did our city become so polluted in front of parliament, government, subject ministers and ministry officials? Questions are being raised. An AQ of over 200 is considered hazardous air. Nepal remains dangerous during February-April and has been continuously above 200 for the past few days. In this way, there is a problem in the easy supply of vital air oxygen and the atmosphere is polluted, so the lives of citizens with chronic diseases such as heart, kidney, respiratory etc. are at risk. It is clear that humans, animals and plants are in a healthy condition.
The increase of carbon dioxide, methane, chlorofluorocarbon, nitrous oxide, nitrogen oxide, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, lead, carbon monoxide etc. in the atmosphere pollutes the atmosphere. In this way, these substances that accumulate in the atmosphere are especially blown by the wind, so the atmosphere becomes polluted in this season.
The causes of pollution include smoke from regular household use in residential settlements, dust-generating activities in connection with the management of new crops in residential areas, and smoke from vehicles in urban markets. Also, fires during this season are a major factor in pollution. Destruction of forests and wild animals due to wildfires and along with it the polluted vapors and fumes released from wildfires affect the environment from many angles.
Losses in important aspects of the environmental protection cycle and disturbances in ecosystems are also affecting the environment. Thus, while studying the conditions and causes of air pollution, it is because of our own causes that this pollution is happening. Pollution is not caused by any trees, plants, wild animals. The reason for pollution and environmental destruction is the situation caused by human's desire to develop, the competition to win over the environment and nature, and the desire to meet needs.
Most of the efforts to make our lifestyles easier have resulted in pollution. We have made life easier by using coal, oil and natural gas. We have developed industries using it. We have become economically prosperous and strong, but with this the greenhouse gas emissions have increased, making our breathing more difficult. Chlorofluorocarbons are being generated from the AC, refrigerator and other electrical equipment that we use.
which is thinning the ozone layer is endangering the animals and plants that exist because of the protection of the ozone layer. The level of pollution added to the atmosphere by lead products found in cosmetics, hair dye, paint, batteries, diesel and petrol is staggering. In particular, skin cancer, effects on the brain, eyes and digestive system are also continuously affected. This trend is increasing with modernity, development and class lifestyle. The quality testing of such materials and the questions of need are also creating new kinds of social problems.
Our social practices are becoming anti-environmental with modernity. Non-biodegradable wastes such as plastic and paper are increasing. Due to the fact that human needs and daily consumables are packed in paper and plastic bags and cartons with modernity, its use has increased. It is not practiced everywhere to destroy or reuse it in a scientific manner. Attempts to destroy or melt them indiscriminately release gases such as sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere. Because of this, the incidence of cancer is increasing.
It is important to have environmental awareness and air safety awareness to avoid these situations. A commitment to protecting the atmosphere and clean air is essential to keeping this planet intact and passing it on to the next generation. It is necessary to adopt measures that can reduce pollution. There needs to be a general debate about the long-term consequences of air pollution and the efforts that can be made to avoid it.
Small actions that can be initiated by each person and determined can bring about a huge change. To reduce the daily use of more than one vehicle in the same house, pollution can be reduced by managing home-office commuting time. Pollution can be reduced by making a policy of using large vehicles as public transport whenever possible. Pollution can also be reduced by using electric vehicles. Carbon emissions can be reduced by using less electrical appliances like AC, refrigerator, heater, cooler at home. Instead of burning household and household organic waste, you can get double benefits by making compost.
As the pressure of environmental pollution is increasing, we are using plastic and paper to propagate support or opposition, harmony etc. Our practice will be protesting or supporting by taking out motorcycle and car rallies. This is also having a very negative impact on the environment. The style of support or opposition also needs to be environmentally friendly. Today there is a situation to redefine polluting activities.
In the Nepali context, we consider only those who throw garbage in open spaces, street boxes or public places to be littering. We made laws targeting such activities and provided penalties. But now the definition of pollution should be changed and those who directly and indirectly produce paper and plastic in public places, those who produce harmful elements like lead and monoxide from diesel petrol should also be included in the definition of polluter. Timely changes should also be made in the action taken against environmental polluters. Provision should be made to set fines for polluters so that there is an arrangement for compensation for environmental damage.
Only through general awareness and organized practice can the campaign against air pollution be successful. The situation that today's generation has to deal with for a few days or weeks has been created, tomorrow that situation is in danger of becoming a daily routine. To avoid the situation where citizens have to breathe by sending artificial oxygen into the atmosphere, the state should play the role of leader and leader to make the lifestyle of every citizen environmentally friendly. If a development plan is delayed by 10 years or if it is not developed, the damage to the citizens will be many times more than that, and the courage to stop such an environmentally destructive plan is the responsibility of today's citizen-friendly ruler. It is wise to think seriously about this. – Baral is a UML whip in the House of Representatives.
