We should not get caught up in the debate about the 'monarchy' that will not come, if we get caught up, the future will be more dark

The 2046 movement brought down the panchayat, and a multi-party system came into being. In 2051, a violent Maoist movement began, killing about 17,000 people. On October 18, 2059, the then King Gyanendra Shah After assassinating the elected Prime Minister, Lokendra Bahadur Chand and Surya Bahadur Thapa were made Prime Ministers in turn, after they did not die, they took away all civil rights on January 19, 2061 and started an autocratic regime.
Against that, the people's movement in 2062/063 overthrew the monarchy and established a republic. When the constitution was promulgated in 1972, India imposed a blockade. There was a movement against that too. Now in the year 081 there is a movement again. My generation, born in 2046, has turned 35 years old, has gone through some movement and is still forced to raise slogans while protesting.
A generation that has only seen movement for half of its life is shocked by any movement. When no progress is seen in matters such as education, healthcare reform and the creation of an entrepreneurial society to bring the society forward, they are angry.
The biggest problem of today's politics is not being able to set the main agenda. Today the world is in a war of economic progress and AI. We are still throwing stones. The biggest problem is that our politics cannot come out of the 'stone age'.
The violent movement of Chait 15th has also confirmed that the return of Purvaraja, protesting by Durga Prasais, is not the solution to the problem. I spoke to a woman who came from Madhesh carrying a 6-month-old child during the protest on 15th of Chait. She has been coming to Tinkune hoping to get her loan waived. No husband, no job. Sahu owes money. What is the solution? KP Oli, Prachanda and Sher Bahadur Deuba could not give a solution. For those women, these 3 leaders are the system. Constitution. And, it's a republic. So she wants to remove this system without understanding. In particular, she wants to change her situation. But when there was no alternative, she came to the movement demanding the removal of this leader. It is important to understand the
, coming to the king is not the solution. Let's say the republic is gone and the king is back? That woman's problem is solved? Will the street protests stop? Will the number of people going abroad decrease? Enterprises open suddenly? There are no miracles. Somehow, if the king comes, he makes 'Durga Prasai' as the prime minister. Again, the Panchayat and the government change in nine months like in 059 years. They will form a commission to make a new constitution. Like in 2061, some leaders will be detained. The journalists were caught. Maybe the internet and phone are down. The 'royal army' will walk on the road. Again the youths will be shot dead. The royalists would quarrel over who brought the king. Some leaders - monarchists will be republicans again 'changing the way' because the king has become more 'fataha'. Republicans will protest. If this happens, the country will be more in trouble with the system itself. The country falls into uncertainty. And more frustration grows. Today's generation does not want a repeat of the sorrows of history.
The solution to today's problems is not to change the system. Gyanendra and not monarchy. Let's not apply headache medicine to the navel. The river has flowed to one side, let's not build a bridge to the other side. Monarchists say that the solution is not monarchy.
is also known, they only did their politics. When the republic cannot work, the voices of the monarchists are only raised.
So now the question is on the republicans. Why could the Republic not deliver? When will the situation of education, health, employment improve? How and when will the life of citizens become easier by bringing competent people to universities, schools, hospitals, institutes, courts? Since when does a woman, Dalit, Madhesi, Tharu get to live with self-respect? What has happened in the last 10 years except the game of the Prime Minister's chair, appointing and saving his people, changing his color for power?
When asked such questions, most leaders answer, a lot has happened. Education improved so much, hospitals were built, roads were built, this happened, that happened. The reality is different, if you count the works done by a leader, you don't have to break all the fingers of one hand. As much as there is work, it is the development given by citizens, private sector, bureaucracy and time.
The current leaders worked very slowly. Less than the ability of the average person. And why consider them leaders? Today, the average per capita income of Nepal is 1400 dollars. And, the world average is $14,000. We are 10 times behind the average. And, the speed is like this? And again their own chair. And, their fight. How much to bear? How to endure?
That's why the public is dissatisfied. While searching for a solution, the 'Durga Prasars' are the only ones found on the way. Therefore, we should not get caught up in the debate about the 'monarchy' that will not come. If trapped, the future will be more bleak. This does not mean that everything is fine today. Movement is especially needed. But that movement should not go back, it should go forward. A peaceful movement to raise hope now needs to establish 3 issues –
1. A 'Citizen Commission' should be formed to investigate corruption after 2046. An all-party meeting should be held to review politics. All sides need to agree to form a 'Citizen's Commission' to investigate the corruption scandals such as the Lalita residence land case, widebody ship purchase scandal, Ncell tax evasion scandal, Budhigandaki hydropower project scam, cooperative scandal, Omni Group medical material purchase scandal, gold smuggling scandals (33 kg, 60 kg). There is a need for a government that can take action against those found guilty by the said commission. Today's politics can no longer proceed without review, without punishing the wrongdoers.
2. The constitution needs to be amended on two issues. First directly elected executive should be arranged. Because the system of changing the government in nine months should end. Balen – Gopi Hamal like a united leadership can work. Therefore, a directly elected executive prime minister and a non-party ceremonial president elected by parliament is a suitable system for us. Another amendment is to change the current electoral system. From reducing the number of ministers and MPs, to changing the government structure, to party ticketing system, there is a need to reform. There is a problem with the system where only MPs can become ministers. MPs who go to make policies do not stay there to build and bring down the government. It is not a matter of allocating the budget to the sewers of the constituency.
3) Republic's 'Mr. 3' (eg: Oli, Deuba, Prachanda) should retire. The top leaders of Congress-UML-Maoist have collectively failed. Today, the problem is with the 'leader', not the republic. The problem is with 'Mr 3', so the solution is not 'Mr 5'. Without further delay, it is imperative that the top leaders hand over power to the party immediately. Even if the party is not given new leadership, the political future of the leaders will end, and the party itself will end. Therefore, it is necessary to send a clear message that the party will hand over power from the coming convention or before. Now there are only two ways - either a miracle has to be done, or we have to leave. What is the
miracle? I was studying in 2nd grade when Sher Bahadur Deuba was the Prime Minister for the first time. Today I have two children and my son studies in 4th standard. And, the next prime minister is also becoming the same Deuba. This is the reason for the discontent of citizens. It may sound apolitical to some, but these leaders are the cause of today's discontent. Can't deliver, won't give up power? Will you wait for the day when the movement throws you off the chair or take a dignified retirement now? It is too late for the three top leaders to decide.
By stopping party appointments in commissions, councils, universities, and courts, and bringing capable people to their leadership, improving education and health services and creating jobs, Nepal can still become a country of hope in 10 years. Yesterday, the monarchy was ruled by monarchists, not republicans. Even today, republican monarchists cannot destroy it, it is the republicanists who destroy it. So still not improved? Will our generation be pushed on the streets again to raise slogans of 'Zindavad-Murdaavad'? Or forced to go abroad?
