The trailer of 'Global Disorder' revealed in the 'Oval Office'

For the past three years, the daily life of the Ukrainian people has been painful and confusing. More terrible and barbaric than war is the role of the powers. Still, the end of war is inevitable. The faster governments from Washington, Moscow to Kiev realize this, the faster positive results will be achieved.

The talks between US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who arrived at the White House as guests, have been recorded as rare events in world politics and diplomacy.

The way Trump and Vance treated Zelensky in the Oval Office was the exact opposite of what is expected of the president of a sovereign country. On the other hand, Zelensky again did not show the creative initiative to end the war, learning from the damage Ukraine suffered due to the war.

Therefore, the citizens of the world, who were hoping that the Trump-Zelensky meeting would determine the way to return to peace in Ukraine, had to watch a scene full of undiplomatic dialogue, which is very sad. The world has been hurt by this dialogue. As a result, the destruction that has been going on for three years in Ukraine has not only ended in confusion, but the 'global order' has turned into 'disorder'.

Zelensky arrived at the White House to sign an agreement to share Ukraine's precious mineral resources with the US. Both sides were saying that the agreement has been finalized and only formalities are left. But the signature became another matter, the dialogue itself became unlimited. Both Trump and Zelensky announced a bump in self-esteem, which was unexpected. A few topics entered the

dialogue, which history will remember as a bad example of diplomacy. When Zelensky raised the issue of the annexation of Crimea and the fact that the then presidents also did nothing, Trump said that he was not the president at that time.

Similarly, Trump warned Zelensky to call it quits, accusing him of gambling on World War III. Vice President Vance accused Zelensky of underestimating US support. In response to which Zelensky left the Oval Office without concluding the dialogue. Friday's incident has not only upset relations between Ukraine and Russia, but also between Ukraine and the United States.

It is natural for America to look at the interests of its country and its citizens and taxpayers. However, no country can be so absolute that it would dare to violate its own heritage. Because every country has, and should have, its own set of institutional memories, initiatives and commitments. Therefore, the current President Donald Trump cannot be freed from responsibility whether the then President of the United States, Barack Obama or Joe Biden, did it right or not.

However, while in power, each of his styles may gain strategic legitimacy, but the loss of diplomatic credibility may not only be borne by the US, but by the entire world. Therefore, Trump is not only attacking the credibility of his own country, he has established the belief that no one is anyone else in the world. This 'disorder' is fatal for the world.

In terms of geopolitical reality, Ukraine did not need NATO. But America has a role to play in making him feel that NATO is necessary. Due to this, Ukraine became ambitious, where extremism was awakened. With the support of America, Ukraine also accepted the path of war. Defense is a mandatory step for any nation after war.

Ukraine did the same. But there is no doubt that Ukraine's aspirations to become a member of NATO and Russian hysteria sparked the war. Also, it was prolonged due to the support given to Ukraine by countries including the US. If the US was not in the background of the war, the war would not have happened or the damage suffered by Ukraine would not have been of this level. But today America is defaming Ukraine on the contrary. What Trump personally holds may have a different interpretation. But the US's latest policy is a complete betrayal of Ukraine.

The role of Russia is the main reason for the attacks that Ukraine has been experiencing for the past three years. He does not consider it necessary to respect Ukraine as a sovereign country. He tried to exploit the communal and linguistic diversity of Ukraine, which he favored. One of the incidents occurred during the annexation of the Ukrainian land of Crimea.

Russia's behavior stifled the rise of nationalist ambitions in Ukraine. The result was Zelensky's rise through the 2019 election. His ultra-nationalist image played a role in the rise of Zelensky, who was deliberately weak in understanding geopolitical complexities. The desire to be closer to the Western powers and achieve NATO membership further damaged relations with neighboring Russia.

For the past three years, the everyday life of the Ukrainian people has been painful and confusing. More terrible and barbaric than war is the role of the powers. Still, the end of war is inevitable. The faster governments from Washington, Moscow to Kiev realize this, the faster positive results will be achieved. But no matter how ugly the Oval Office dialogue is, its 'course correction' is inevitable for mankind.
