Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmita Pokharel, has stated that legal action will be taken against those who leaked the question paper for the MBS first semester examination under the Faculty of Management at Tribhuvan University before the exam.
Speaking with journalists at the ministry on Sunday, Minister Pokharel informed that Nepal Police has taken two individuals involved in the incident into custody and initiated an investigation. According to her, as soon as information was received about the question paper being leaked, surveillance was immediately increased in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Nepal Police.
Minister Pokharel mentioned that such incidents have occurred in the past as well, but this time action was initiated immediately, and clarified that anyone involved in activities against good governance will be prosecuted according to the law. She stated that the facts will be made public after a detailed investigation of the incident.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has taken two individuals into custody and is conducting further investigation on charges of leaking the question paper. The question paper for the ‘Organizational Behavior’ subject of the MBS first semester, held on the 8th of Shrawan, was leaked on social media within a few minutes of the exam starting.
