The traffic police have taken action against Bablu Gupta, Member of Parliament from Siraha Constituency No. 1 of the Rastriya Swatantra Party. MP Gupta was penalized by the District Traffic Police Office, Lahan, for violating traffic rules.

A video showing Gupta performing a stunt by standing on a moving Bullet motorcycle and filming it was made public on social media.

After questions were raised on social media, the traffic police stated that he was fined five hundred rupees under the charge of negligence.

The traffic police also cautioned Gupta and the driver of the motorcycle he was riding on not to repeat such mistakes in the future.

MP Gupta commented that he was enjoying himself when he visited the place where he used to play as a child. He also said that he realized he had violated traffic rules while having fun.

He wrote on social media, "When I reached the place where I used to play as a child, old memories were refreshed. In that moment of happiness and fun, while jokingly standing on the back of the motorcycle and making a video, I realized myself that I had violated traffic rules."
