Among the 6 people arrested during a joint operation by the Narcotics Control Bureau, Koteshwar, and Siraha Police, 2 were shot in the leg. Mohammad Nasir, 42, of Rupani Rural Municipality-1 in Saptari, and Vidyanand Yadav, 24, an Indian national, were shot in the leg.
Siraha Police Chief, Superintendent of Police Basudev Pathak, said they are undergoing treatment at a local hospital. According to him, 243 grams of brown sugar were also recovered from them.
Pathak said further investigation is underway.
