Two people have died and five have been injured in 47 disaster-related incidents that occurred in various parts of the country on Wednesday.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, there were five cases of snakebite, five of fire, one of flood, sixteen of landslide, fourteen of road obstruction, one of livestock loss, and four other incidents.

Seven families have been affected by these incidents. Two people died and five were injured in the landslide incidents. The disasters caused damage worth Rs 19 million.

As of the first day of Baisakh this year, there have been 2,361 disaster-related incidents across the country. These incidents have resulted in 173 deaths, two missing persons, and 1,208 injuries. During this period, 4,869 families have been affected, according to the Authority.
