Minister for Youth, Labor and Employment Ramji Yadav has said that foreign employment cannot be stopped immediately. Minister Yadav, in a conversation with the communication ministers during the monitoring of the Department of Foreign Employment on Tuesday, said that foreign employment cannot be stopped immediately.
He clarified that the government is focused on making it safe as it is not possible to completely stop foreign employment in the era of globalization. Minister Yadav informed that initiatives are being taken for labor agreements with European countries with the aim of ensuring that workers are not exploited, receive fair wages, and ensure basic living standards and service facilities. Minister Yadav has said that it is not appropriate to stop foreign employment immediately. He said that the government is searching for new destinations like European countries that provide safe and high returns to make foreign employment systematic and dignified.
Minister Yadav said, 'Foreign employment cannot be stopped immediately, nor is it appropriate to do so.' Today's world has become a 'global village', where people move from one country to another is a natural process. Therefore, our priority is not to stop foreign employment, but to make it safe, dignified and systematic. We are also in search of a good labor market, where Nepali workers are not exploited. They can get decent wages, safe workplaces, housing and basic living standards. Work is also underway on new and safe labor destinations including Europe. Support and cooperation from all sides is necessary to make this sector dignified.'
Minister Yadav admitted that the morale of fraudsters has increased due to the weak implementation of the law in the past, and said that the government will present itself ruthlessly in the coming days. He claimed that the ministry is making rapid efforts to work result-oriented, realizing that the public is looking for quick results. Minister Yadav also expected cooperation from all sectors in making the foreign employment sector transparent and dignified.
