Police have arrested two people on charges of murdering a woman who was found dead in a room at Hotel Mountain Elsiva in Mitranagar, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26.
The arrested are 20-year-old Dan Bahadur Shahi, a resident of Chandannath Rural Municipality-1 in Jumla and currently residing in Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City of Banke, and Ramesh Budha, a resident of Dungeshwor Rural Municipality-6 in Dailekh and currently residing in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3. The police have obtained a seven-day extension of remand against both of them in a case of manslaughter from the Kathmandu District Court, the police said.
According to Kathmandu Police SP Pawan Bhattarai, a team from the District Police Range, Kathmandu and the Police Division, New Bus Park, reached the spot after receiving information that the woman was dead in a room on the fourth floor of the hotel at around 11 am on July 3.
