Around 3,000 posts were vacant in the civil service in the last fiscal year. According to the data from the National Civil Service Library, these posts were vacant due to compulsory retirement and resignation of employees.
In the last fiscal year, 2,211 employees received compulsory retirement, while 718 resigned. The number of employees resigning has been seen to be higher than in the previous fiscal year. The number of resignations in fiscal year 01/02 was 611. About one-third of the total employees who resigned in a year in fiscal year 02/03 resigned in Ashar. In Ashar, 225 employees of various ranks resigned. In that month, 222 employees received compulsory retirement.
Shravan Kumar Pokharel, Director General of Kitabkhana, says that the number of employees resigning has increased in the last month. The rest of the employees working in non-graded positions have resigned, according to the book store.
Similarly, in the current fiscal year (03/04), 1,985 employees in the civil service will be compulsorily retired. According to the data provided by the National Civil Service Book Store, 20 special category secretaries or similar, 87 joint secretaries or similar, and 206 deputy secretaries or similar will be retired.
Similarly, 320 branch officer level, 773 assistant level and 579 non-ranking level employees will get compulsory retirement . Director General of the Bookstore Pokharel said that these employees will retire after completing their 58-year age limit and tenure. Secretaries Kiran Raj Sharma, Loknath Paudyal, Hari Prasad Mainali are retiring in Shrawan respectively . Secretaries Dilliram Sharma, Baburam Adhikari and Rajukumar Shrestha will retire in Bhadau, Gopal Prasad, Sigdel, Suraj Kumar Vaidya and Ravilal Pantha will retire in Asoj . Krishna Bahadur Raut will retire in Poush, Rameshwor Dangal in Magh, Mukunda Prasad Niraula in Falgun and Dinanath Mishra will retire in Chait .
Similarly, the bookstore records show that secretaries Krishna Prasad Kapri will retire in Jestha and Kedarnath Sharma, Rajendra Kumar Poudel and Indira Dahal will retire in Asar . Deputy Attorney General Sanjeev Raj Regmi and Deputy Auditor General Baikuntha Bahadur Adhikari of the special category will retire in Asoj and another Deputy Attorney General Lokraj Parajuli in the upcoming Jestha. He mentioned that the number is of employees who will retire from 1st Shrawan to 31st Asar. According to the records of the library, a total of 92,520 employees are working at the federal, provincial and local levels.
