Amarpur in Dang has received the most rainfall in the last 24 hours. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, 107 millimeters of rain has fallen there.

Sindhupalchowk received 103 millimeters and West Nawalparasi received 69 millimeters of rain in the past 24 hours, said David Dhakal, a meteorologist at the department.

The department estimates that small rivers will increase the risk of flooding in Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Ilam, Panchthar, Tehrathum, Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchowk, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Dhading, Makawanpur, Chitwan, Kaski, Tanahun, Syangja, Parbat, Baglung and surrounding districts today. Similarly, the department has projected that there will be a risk of flash floods in small rivers around Gulmi, Palpa, Arghakhanchi, Pyuthan, Nawalparasi (east and west), Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Doti, Dadeldhura, Kailali and Kanchanpur.

According to the department, the water level of the Koshi, Narayani, Bagmati, Karnali, Mahakali and their tributaries as well as the Kankai, Kamala, Babai, East Rapti and West Rapti rivers is below the danger line.
