An order has been issued to seek a written response from the officials of the Property Investigation Commission in contempt of the Supreme Court.

A bench of Supreme Court Justices Abdul Aziz Musalman and Tek Prasad Dhungana issued a show cause order on Thursday in a contempt case filed by advocate Prem Raj Silwal on charges of misinterpreting the interim order issued on Ashad 26. Earlier, advocate Silwal had filed a case alleging that the notice and action published by the Property Investigation Commission on Ashad 29, which was contrary to the order of the joint bench of Tek Prasad Dhungana and Justice Shrikant Poudel, constituted contempt of the court order.

The Supreme Court has issued an order seeking a written response from Chairman Rajendra Kumar Bhandari and members Purushottam Parajuli, Chandiraj Dhakal, Ganesh KC and Prakash Lamsal, and the Property Commission.
