The Central Committee of the Farmers-Laborers' Movement Nepal against Meter Bills has formed a six-member negotiation committee under the chairmanship of the organization's president Awadhesh Kuswah to hold talks with the government. The decision was made at a meeting of the committee's secretariat committee on Thursday.

The members of the committee include Manoj Kumar Paswan,  Rijan Rana Magar, Laxmi Ghimire, Kiran Pariyar and the central president of the United People's Rights Front, Nirg Navin.

According to Navin, it has been decided to hold talks at a place and time determined by the government.

Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has been in Bara for three days to try to address the demands to hold talks with them. According to leading leader Navin, the government is also trying to form a negotiation team.

'We will stay in Nijgadh until the talks are concluded,' he said, 'Our negotiation team will hold talks at the place specified by the government.'

He added, 'The government is verbally positive towards our six-point demands. But we have sought a written agreement.'

On Wednesday, a draft was prepared between the government and the meter-billing victims, and Home Minister Sudhan Gurung sent the draft to Chief Secretary Govinda Karki for legalization.

After the victims started a walk from Janakpur to Kathmandu to protest with a six-point demand, the government decided to implement the reports of the three commissions formed during the then government.

However, the meter-billing victims' committee has been saying that there is no point in implementing the report.
