The Judicial Council has transferred 157 district judges. The council meeting on Thursday transferred district judges who have completed their two-year term.

The council meeting chaired by Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma transferred district judges working in the Kathmandu District Court and various courts. The day before the change of fiscal year, the council decided to transfer 50 judges of the High Court and 157 judges of the District Court.

Similarly, the government has been advised to appoint Justice Vasudev Acharya of the High Court, Tulsipur, as the chairman of the Special Court. Since the chairman of the Special Court has also been transferred, the government has been advised to appoint a new chairman.

It has recommended that Dipendra Adhikari be appointed as the chairman of the Labor Court, while the Judicial Council has decided to advise the government to appoint Dhubraraj Nanda, Anju Upreti Dhakal and Dipendra Bahadur Bam as the revenue tribunals.
