The Supreme Court, referring to the interim order of 26 Ashad, had ordered for the second time to maintain the status quo of the work of the Property Investigation Commission.

The Property Investigation Commission has suspended all work including collection of property details and investigation. The commission, in a notice published on Thursday, stated that all work has been suspended as per the order given by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
The work of collecting property details is continuing as per the notice number 4 published on 29 Ashar on behalf of political office bearers and employees who have fulfilled the responsibility of public accountability, except former judges, former office bearers of the Constitutional Commission and former office bearers of the Nepal Army.
‘Since an interim order has been issued by the order of 31 Ashar not to collect property details and investigation from anyone until the final decision of the writ petition is made, this notice has been published for the information of all concerned.’ The notice of the commission states that all work including collection of property details and investigation has been suspended until further notice is published.
The Supreme Court had ordered the work of the Property Investigation Commission to remain as it is for the second time, referring to the interim order of 26 Ashar. The time given by the commission, formed under the leadership of former Supreme Court Justice Rajendra Kumar Bhandari, to submit asset details has also expired today.
