Kathmandu District Court Judge Tej Bahadur Khadka's bench has sentenced 16 defendants. On 23 Ashad, the court had ordered that 16 out of 31 defendants be found guilty, 7 acquitted and the case of 8 be adjourned.
The hearing for sentencing was scheduled for 29 Ashad, but the case was kept under 'watch' after the hearing was not completed on Monday.
