Due to continuous rainfall, the Radhaswami Satsang Holding Center in Kirtipur has been submerged. After water filled the center, the displaced squatters taking shelter there have been left in distress.
Due to continuous rainfall, the rooms inside the holding center have filled with water, submerging all of their belongings. According to Girwanika Thapa, who is sheltering at the center, the water has risen above knee level, making it impossible to move their belongings to a safe place.
"Everything here is completely submerged. The water has risen above knee level, so we couldn't even take out our belongings. We are very afraid that small children might drown," Thapa said.
Even after such a long time since the disaster began, no one has arrived for rescue, so they have requested immediate assistance. "Please come as quickly as possible and rescue us," Thapa added.
Another displaced person, Pramila Rai, who is also staying at the holding center, said that they are at risk. She stated that since their rooms and belongings are all submerged, children and the elderly are facing greater difficulties.
Even though the risk of flooding and inundation has increased, the victims have expressed concern that neither the local administration nor rescue teams have reached the site so far.
