Vehicular movement has been suspended on the Kavrepalanchok section of the BP Highway after the water level in the Roshi River rose due to incessant rain.

According to Chief Police Inspector Santosh Shrestha of the District Traffic Police Office, Kavre, the water level in the Roshi River has risen due to heavy rain since 3 pm on Sunday. Considering the potential risk, he said that all types of vehicle movement has been stopped on the Kavrepalanchok section of the BP Highway for the time being.

According to Shrestha, vehicles moving towards Kathmandu and east have been held at Kavrebhanjyang and Mangaltar in the district. He informed that vehicles will not be operated until the road condition returns to normal.
