A person has died in Bajhang after a dispute between friends who were drinking together turned into a fight. Police have said that 42-year-old Mohan Bahadur Bohara of Kedarsyun Rural Municipality-6, Tyadigaun, lost his life in the fight.
Although the police have taken two people into custody on charges of murder, their identities have not been revealed. Although the incident took place on Friday night, Bohara's body was found in a corn field near the village on Saturday.
'After drinking together, the three of them were returning home and a minor dispute arose, and one of them threw a stone at them,' said a police officer involved in the investigation. 'It seems that the two of them killed him together and disposed of the body after seeing him collapse with serious injuries,' he said, adding that although the deceased and the perpetrators of the crime were from the same village, it was discovered during the investigation that there was no animosity between them and that the murder was only due to alcohol.'
DSP Tek Jora, Chief of the District Police Office, Bajhang, said that six people have been taken into custody on suspicion of involvement in the murder. 'Who is the accused?' It has almost been found out. Preparations are underway to register a case after completing the investigation soon,' he said.
