One person has died in a Dailekh accident. According to the police, a body stuck in a cliff has been pulled out. Earlier, the police had said that one passenger was found unconscious.

Police have said that a search is underway for the missing passenger after a vehicle accident on the Karnali Highway at Sangetada in Chamunda Bindrasaini Municipality-7 of Dailekh.

A force vehicle (K.P.02-001 Kha 1055) heading from Surkhet to Kalikot lost control and fell off the road into the Karnali River at around 11:30 am on Thursday. Rescue teams from the Armed Police Force, Nepal Gulma Dailekh, Upper Karnali Hydropower Project Security Base and Police Post Paltada have been deployed for the rescue.

According to SSP Santosh Singh Rathore, spokesperson of the Karnali Provincial Police Office, five passengers boarded the vehicle that left Surkhet Bus Park at 8 am on Thursday. ‘It was also reported that some passengers boarded it on the road,’ he said, ‘The vehicle is submerged in the river. We have also informed the Armed Police Force divers for rescue.’
