Tribhuvan University has directed to remove student organization structures from its departments and campuses.

The Directorate of Student Welfare and Sports on Monday asked to remove the party student organization structure. The government's 100-point agenda mentioned the removal of student organization structures within 60 days and the development of a student council/voice of student mechanism within 90 days.

90 days after the formation of the government, the Ministry of Education had requested the implementation of the agenda through the University Grants Commission.

In a letter written to campuses and departments by Sandesh Kumar Regmi, deputy instructor of the directorate, it is stated, ‘To solve the problem of partisan interference in the education sector, failure to listen to the real voice of students, and decline in educational quality, it has been mentioned that the partisan student organization system should be removed from schools and universities within 60 days and a student council mechanism should be developed within 90 days. Therefore, it is requested to do so accordingly and inform this directorate as soon as possible as per the directive.’
