Singer Sujan Chapagain has been embroiled in controversy over allegations of having 'secret chats' with teenagers. In the past few days, various screenshots and videos of Chapagain's 'secret chats' have been made public on social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Reddit.

After the chats were released, several other teenagers on TikTok have claimed that Chapagain had been having obscene conversations with them by turning on Instagram's 'vanish mode' (a feature that automatically deletes messages after viewing them).
After the controversy escalated, Chapagain has admitted through social media Facebook that some of the chats were his. 'It is true that I have exchanged messages with friends who are close to me and those I consider close to me in the past,' he said in a statement. 'I would like to apologize from the bottom of my heart for the sad situation that has arisen.' However, he claims that he is unaware of all the content that has come out on social media.
Stating that his social media account is not only used by him but also by his managers at different times, he has expressed his suspicion that it may have been misused from somewhere. 'Since it was not possible for me to handle my social media alone, social media managers used to manage it at different times.' My initial guess is that there was misuse somewhere at the same time,' the statement said.
Chapagain, who is currently in Australia for a concert, has said that he has started the necessary investigation process, calling it an 'unethical and inappropriate act'. He says that he will return to Nepal as soon as his Australian concert tour ends and seek legal treatment in this matter.
