Former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has sought evidence from the National Human Rights Commission for his conviction in the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24. On Sunday, the writer reached the commission's office Harihar Bhavan in Lalitpur and filed a Right to Information petition and demanded audio-visual evidence of the conviction.
He has mentioned in the petition that he should be provided with a certified copy (information). The writer has demanded comprehensive information in the petition on his disagreement with the Commission's decision that his human rights were violated and on what basis he was declared a human rights violator.
He says that he wants to present his side in national and international forums related to human rights after getting information on the matter. The writer has written in the petition that he will make his side public about the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 and, if necessary, pursue constitutional and legal remedies.
The author has sought the entire decision including the mandate taken when the investigation and investigation committee was formed under the coordination of Commission member Lilly Thapa, the report prepared by the committee and all electronic and written evidence including the audiovisual and written documents attached to the report, the decision taken by the Commission based on the report, and the report with recommendations sent by the Commission to the government.
