Prime Minister Balendra Shah, who came to Chitwan to participate in the first general convention of the National Independent Party (NISP), will be staying at a resort far from the convention venue.

Prime Minister Shah, who landed at Bharatpur Airport with his wife and daughter on Sunday morning, went straight to Latauli Sanctuary Resort in Kalika Municipality-9. After spending a few hours at the same place, Prime Minister Shah reached the inauguration venue of the convention along with party President Rabi Lamichhane. Both the leaders reached the stage under umbrellas amidst the pouring rain.

The two main leaders of the NISP, President Lamichhane and senior leader and Prime Minister Shah, who are in the process of selecting a new leadership from the convention, will also stay at the same place. Sources said that President Lamichhane, Prime Minister Shah, Home Minister Sudhan Gurung and other key leaders will stay together in Latauli for three days. This resort has been booked for them.

More than 35 people, including the Prime Minister, the Speaker and the Home Minister, will stay at Latauli, which opened 20 kilometers north of Bharatpur near Shaktikhor Bazaar. Security forces had reached the resort on Saturday and checked it before the Prime Minister arrived.

Latauli Sanctuary has been booked for three days from Sunday by individuals, not by the Prime Minister's residence or the party. This resort has 16 rooms. Although the total capacity is 32, it has been built to accommodate a few more people.

Although the hotel construction work has been going on for three years, this resort has been operational since one and a half months ago. A room at the resort costs 25,000 rupees per night. But now there is a package of up to 19,000 rupees on the occasion of the resort's inauguration. According to sources, the resort has been booked for the leaders of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at a price much lower than the package fee.

After it was decided that the Prime Minister and other dignitaries would stay at the hotel, the hotel had canceled the bookings of 8 service recipients.
