Police have opened fire to arrest a drug dealer in Balkumari, Lalitpur.
A team from the Narcotics Control Bureau, Koteshwor, has arrested three people involved in the brown heroin trade, the bureau's SSP Subash Bohora told Kantipur.
Kishore Prasad Ojaiya, 39, of Paterwa Sugauli Rural Municipality-4, Parsa, has been injured in the gunshot wound. He has been shot in the right leg. The others were not shot.
Along with him, the police have arrested his friend Ashok Bhul, 25, and Niraj Kumar Mandal, 18, of Rajgadh Rural Municipality-3, Saptari. Police said that drugs were also recovered from their possession. SSP Bohora said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
