A young man has been arrested after a video of him abusing and beating a young woman with a khukuri in Tulsipur, Dang went viral on social media.
The Area Police Office Tulsipur has arrested 24-year-old Ramesh Thada Magar, a resident of Bhanke, Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-2.
Police have recovered 1 Pregamax tablet, 41 Trohmo tablets, 2 Anticop tablets and 5 Nitrazohm tablets from his house.
According to the police, Ramesh had taken a young woman to a forest area about three months ago and beaten her with a khukuri. He had made the video of the incident public on Tuesday at around 8:30 pm through his own Facebook ID.
After the video went viral, the police arrested him from his house at around 10:40 pm. Police have also taken 21-year-old Jibaraj Khatri, a resident of Balapur, Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-2, into custody in the same incident and are investigating.
