Santosh Sah, popularly known as Chef Santosh, has been found guilty by the court in a banking offence case a year ago.

According to a statement issued by SP Rameshwor Karki of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, the Kathmandu District Court had sentenced Sah to one month in prison and a fine of Rs 125,000 on 30 Jestha 2082 in a banking offence case.

According to the police, along with Chef Santosh, the court had sentenced Dilip Kumar Sah, Ramhit Sah, and Narayan Sah.

According to the police, Sah was arrested from Janakpur on Saturday based on another complaint. The police said that he was arrested based on a complaint filed by Sakuntala Thapa Adhikari for not paying the amount for the sale of the restaurant.

After the arrest, the court has allowed Sah to be kept in custody for 3 days for further investigation. Sah was operating a restaurant called 'Mithila Thali'.
