The Nepal Medical Council has sealed the ‘Maria Hospital’ (Maria Health Center Pvt. Ltd.) in Baluwatar. The council sealed the hospital after it was found to be operating illegally without the necessary permits and clinical standards.
A notice was issued on Thursday to inform that legal action has been taken after the hospital was found to be illegally conducting health examinations of patients through foreign doctors during an on-site monitoring by the council.

Nepali doctors have also been directed to submit a written explanation within three days for violating the code of conduct by putting their names on the board of the institution.
