Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has denied the allegations of corruption against him and said that he will resign from his ministerial post if irregularities are proven.

While answering questions raised against him in the House of Representatives meeting on Thursday, he said, 'I also told the Public Accounts Committee today that a couple of scoundrels wrote about suspicions of 2 billion, etc. But if I have committed fraud or dishonesty of 2 rupees, not 2 billion, I will resign from my ministerial post. I am even ready to give up public life.'

He said that similar moral courage and moral height should also be shown by the MPs who point fingers at him. He added, 'We are unaware of your scandals and they will also be revealed.'

Stating that MPs should maintain their own dignity, he said that they should not try to reduce the burden of the esteemed House.

'It was also heard that Swarnim Wagle, who was in the Finance Ministry, was enriching the businessmen by manipulating tax rates. Can we deceive the people within two months of moving forward with a ruthless agenda of good governance and approving the people's strict commitment to good governance?' he said.

Finance Minister Wagle said that they were trying to overcome instability. 'We are trying to take a new direction,' he said, 'The budget is not everything. 21 trillion is just for sowing seeds.'
