Labor Culture Party Chairman Harkaraj Rai has said that a situation has arisen where a movement is needed to speak in Parliament. Rai also said that the Parliament should be run according to the Constitution and the Rules of the House of Representatives.
In Wednesday's meeting of the House of Representatives, Chairman Rai said that the Parliament should be run according to the rules. He said, 'We had to move to speak in the House. People are moving to get the Prime Minister here. Movement is a country of movement,' Rai said.
Chairman Rai expressed dissatisfaction saying that the House was not running according to the rules and that when he spoke in a low voice, he was not heard. 'This House should be run according to the rules,' he said. He stressed that the House of Representatives should be run according to the Constitution and Rules.
Chairman Rai had also urged Speaker DP Aryal to take care of the rules he had not followed rather than teaching him the rules.
Earlier, the Shram Sanskriti Party had launched a well gherao in the House of Representatives, saying that they were not allowed to speak on a party basis. The Shram Sanskriti Party had launched a movement saying that the leader of the main opposition party, Bhishma Raj Angdembe, UML parliamentary party leader Ram Bahadur Thapa, NCP's Pramesh Hamal, and RPP parliamentary party leader Gyan Bahadur Shahi were given time to speak, but the fourth largest opposition party was not allowed to speak.
Chairman Rai said that he was raising his voice because he was concerned that the country would succeed only if the Prime Minister was successful. Rai said that the Prime Minister had spoken seriously objectionable words regarding the border. He demanded that Prime Minister Balendra Shah's speech regarding the border on Jestha 17 be removed from the parliament's record.
The Shram Sanskriti Party's well gherao has also ended after Chairman Rai got time to speak.
