The Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene has decided to take action against 11 health institutions.

Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari has informed that action has been taken against 11 health institutions that have not paid the fees due according to the number of beds. According to him, it has been decided to recover 17.884 crores from those institutions.

He said that the ministry has taken the decision forward with the implementation process with the aim of ensuring good governance, transparency and legal accountability in the health sector. The ministry has stated that the process of recovering the arrears has been taken forward by addressing the issues pointed out by the Auditor General's report.
