Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) President Ravi Lamichhane has said that he has invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President to visit Nepal.
While returning home on Friday after completing his visit to India, he told media persons at Tribhuvan International Airport that he has invited both the leaders to visit Nepal during their visit to India. President Lamichhane mentioned that both Indian Prime Minister Modi and the BJP President are positive about visiting Nepal. He also clarified that the process of visiting each other's countries and exchanging invitations is an ongoing process between political parties.
He said, 'The problems there are common problems of Nepali brothers and sisters in India. Therefore, we have not increased the capacity to address all those problems immediately, today, because the government has only been formed recently. For that, efforts have been made to make the embassy and related mechanisms there more efficient and to address the complaints of citizens effectively.’
When asked about the problems faced by Nepali citizens in India, Lamichhane emphasized the need to make the Nepali embassy and related mechanisms there more efficient. He said that it is necessary to enhance the capacity of the government mechanism to address various problems related to healthcare, paperwork and daily life of Nepalis in India.
President Lamichhane expressed the view that although the problems of Nepalis living abroad are almost the same in nature, they can be significantly reduced if the mechanism to resolve them is active and efficient.
