Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has arrived in New Delhi at the friendly invitation of Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. He arrived in New Delhi on Friday for an official visit to India from 22 to 24 Jestha.
He was welcomed by Nepal's Acting Ambassador to India Dr. Surendra Thapa and Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs of India Munu Mahawar at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. Minister Khanal left for the destination on Friday afternoon.
During the visit, Foreign Minister Khanal will hold a formal meeting with his counterpart Dr. Jaishankar, the Ministry of External Affairs has said. During the meeting, they will discuss bilateral trade, investment, connectivity, energy and people-to-people relations.
Foreign Minister Khanal is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on 24 Jestha after completing his visit, the Ministry has said.
