The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged people to be alert, saying that there is a possibility of moderate heat waves in the Terai regions of Madhesh and Lumbini provinces for the next 3 days. The department has also forecast hot winds in some places in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschika Terai regions during this period.

The districts that need to be updated are Jhapa, Sunsari, Chitwan, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), Kailali, and Kanchanpur.
According to the department, the maximum temperature in those districts is likely to be 38 degrees Celsius or more.
