Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadakraj Poudel has handed over the certificate of climbing Mount Everest to Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin M. bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, a member of the royal family of Saudi Arabia and a Mount Everest climber.

Minister Poudel congratulated the prince and presented him with the certificate for climbing the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, at a program organized at the ministry on Monday evening. Ramkrishna Lamichhane, Director General of the Department of Tourism, said that the certificate was specially handed over to the prince by the ministry.

The Department of Tourism issues official certificates to climbers who climb the mountains of Nepal, including Mount Everest. Minister Poudel handed over the said certificate to the prince.

Member of the House of Representatives Mingma David Sherpa, Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Nepal Fahad Mohammad A. Al Manikher, among others, were present at the program. House of Representatives member Mingma David Sherpa and Saudi prince have climbed Mount Everest on the same day.  

Prince Faisal participated in this year's spring Everest climbing expedition . His climb was managed by Elite Expedition Company. In which House of Representatives member Mingma David Sherpa also has a partnership . The prince's personal mountaineering guide was Pem Chiri Sherpa.

Prince Faisal climbed Mount Everest on Jestha 13 . He is considered one of the youngest Arab climbers to climb Mount Everest. He reached the peak with a special VIP team led by Elite Expedition founder Nirmal Purja .

During the meeting with the minister  the prince expressed his appreciation for the natural beauty of Nepal, the mountainous environment and the hospitality of the Nepali people, saying that the experience of his visit to Nepal was unforgettable .
