Three people died on the spot and five others were seriously injured when a Bolero jeep coming from Surkhet to Shubhakalika-6 Howdy in Kalikot met with an accident in Dailekh. The deceased and all the injured are residents of Shubhakalika.

On Monday morning, a jeep carrying eight passengers, bearing the number S.P. 01001 Cha 4964, met with an accident on the inner road section of Kalgouda in Bhairavi Rural Municipality-7, Dailekh district at 1 pm. The jeep driver Kal Bahadur Rokaya, 32, of Shubhakalika-5, Netra Sunar, 38, of Shubhakalika-4 Sunarwada, and Pultisara Kami, 65, of Shubhakalika-6 Howdy, died on the spot, said police constable Binod Shahi, who was at the scene.

According to him, the injured include Sumat Kami, 27, of Shubhakalika-6, Bharat Bik, 18, The injured are Kamal Sunar, 28, Chakra Sunar, 35, and Nandu Sunar, 35, of Ward No. 4. The injured have been taken to Dailekh District Hospital for treatment. The police said the jeep lost control and fell 300 meters off the road.
