UML has demanded that some words spoken by Speaker DP Aryal in the Sunday meeting of the House of Representatives be removed from the record of the parliament.

UML Chief Whip Ain Bahadur Mahar has demanded that Speaker Aryal's words regarding the House of Representatives Rules be removed from the record of the parliament.

UML has objected to Speaker Aryal's statement that the provisions in the rules do not exist. Mahar demanded, 'The Speaker said that there is no provision in the rules to take questions 3 days in advance. That is against the House of Representatives Rules. I want to object to this and I want to demand that the words of the Speaker himself be removed from the record of the House of Representatives.'

Mahar had demanded that the words spoken by the Speaker regarding the question and answer program with the Prime Minister in the House of Representatives Rules be removed from the record of the parliament. 'The Prime Minister came unexpectedly. He came anyway. No one is above the Constitution and the House of Representatives Rules, neither the Speaker, nor the MP, nor the Prime Minister, nor the Minister. Everyone must fulfill their duties and responsibilities under the House of Representatives Rules. The House of Representatives Rules have clearly stipulated, Chapter 9 stipulates direct question-and-answer with the Prime Minister,' Mahar said, 'Rules 56 to 59 clearly explain how, when, and how much to ask the Prime Minister. It has been clarified that the Prime Minister will come 3 days in advance. 15 MPs can ask questions individually, not party-wise. That is what we said. Only 6 MPs were asked questions. There is a provision in the rules for taking questions from 15 people. Where are the MPs' questions? The Prime Minister stood up and asked for time when he was on the rostrum, but it was not given.'

Speaker Aryal did not draw any attention to the matter.
