Ticketcar Tulsi (Tulsa) Adhikari has been arrested. The police arrested her in Thailand with the help of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) and brought her to Nepal.

SP Gautam Mishra of the District Police Range, Lalitpur, confirmed the arrest of Adhikari. ‘A case had already been registered in the court for fraud, criminal breach of trust and money laundering,’ he told Kantipur. ‘She was brought to Kathmandu after being arrested in Thailand while a red notice was issued.’

A case was filed against 10 people, including Adhikari, in Chaitra, on charges of cheating 65.2 million rupees by threatening to file a rape case on the pretext of a consensual relationship. Even while the police were investigating, she was making her views public through TikTok. Despite saying that she would cooperate in the investigation, the investigating officers said that she spread confusion through social media while she was in Thailand.

She also questioned the role of the police, saying that the police did not summon her while she was in Nepal but issued an arrest warrant after she went abroad. A person named Kumar Chimoriya had filed a complaint against the officer at the Satdobato Police Station on 22 Shrawan 2082.

Although the investigation was initially started only on the issue of fraud, the police also started an investigation into money laundering after abnormal transactions were found while checking the bank details.
