Prime Minister Balendra Shah has said that the Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani disputes will be resolved through dialogue. Prime Minister Shah said this while answering questions from MPs in the House of Representatives on Sunday.
Prime Minister Shah said that diplomatic notes have been sent to India and China and a response has been received. UML Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Padma Aryal had asked about trade between India and China through Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura.
In response, Prime Minister Shah said, 'The Nepal government has officially sent a diplomatic note to the Indian government and a response has also been received.' In that response, both governments have agreed to resolve this issue through table talks by appointing their historians, surveyors and people who have knowledge of their respective lands.'
Prime Minister Shah said that diplomatic dialogue has also been held with China and Britain regarding the Lipulekh border dispute. He said, 'We have talked to not only India and China but also the British government regarding this. Since the problem they are leaving British India is still happening to us, it is our belief that England should also be concerned. I would like to inform you that all these matters will be resolved through table talk and diplomatic means.'
Prime Minister Shah also said that since the issue of Nepal encroaching on Indian territory was also raised, both countries will resolve it together.
