The weather system that causes active rainfall in the country is moving westward. Due to this, light to moderate rainfall is currently occurring in some places in Sudurpaschim, Lumbini, Karnali, Gandaki and Bagmati provinces.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of more rainfall in various parts of these provinces for the next few hours. 

The division has stated that the highest rainfall of 32 mm was measured in the Rajai area of ​​Makawanpur in the last three hours. As pre-monsoon activities are active, it is expected that rainfall will continue in various parts of the country for the next few days. 

The department has said that there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall/snowfall with thunder/lightning in some places in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces tomorrow and in one or two places in the Terai areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki including Madhesh.  There is also a possibility of windstorms in a few places in the Terai region of Lumbini Province.
