Mingma Gyabu Sherpa, a member of the House of Representatives and a member of the National Independent Party, has successfully climbed Mount Everest, the world's highest peak, carrying the flag of the House of Representatives.
He reached the peak of Mount Everest at 5:40 am on Wednesday and informed that the 'From House to Summit' campaign was successfully completed.
After climbing Mount Everest, he wrote on social media, 'I would like to inform you that the journey from House to Summit was successfully completed on the 9th day by reaching the summit of Mount Everest at 05:40 am today. Heartiest thanks to all who provided support, good wishes and encouragement on the journey so far.'
He started the campaign by reaching the Everest Base Camp from Kathmandu on 5th May. On that day, Speaker of the House of Representatives DP Aryal handed over the flag of the House of Representatives and bid him farewell from Kathmandu.

The team including Khimlal Gautam, head of the temporary field office in Everest, welcomed him to the base camp on Jestha 5 for his summit success.
37-year-old Mingma Gyabu Sherpa is a world-renowned name in the mountaineering field. Also known as ‘Mingma David’, he also set the record for being the youngest climber to climb all 14 mountains above 8,000 meters in the world.
He was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from the National Independent Party in the 2082 general election on the Janajati proportional representation ticket.
