On Tuesday, the Metropolitan City issued a notice asking the TV's chairman Gitendra Babu Rai to pay the rent and remove all the belongings in the office.
In a petition filed by Mrigendra Prasad Mishra of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3, the Metropolitan City's Judicial Committee had decided on 2081 Kartik 14 to collect the rent and rent tax from the defendant and vacate the house and property as per Section 47 of the Local Government Operation Act, 2074 BS.
Similarly, on 28 Shrawan 2082 BS, the Patan High Court had issued a writ of mandamus in the name of Kathmandu Metropolitan City to implement the decision of the Judicial Committee within (two) months. As per the court order, the decision was implemented by the Metropolitan Municipality on 2082 Kartik 14.
After 6 months of implementing the decision, Mishra filed another application on 21 Baisakh, and a notice was issued to pay the rent due to the landlord and take his belongings within 15 days.
