The Patan High Court has ordered the production of evidence in the writ petition filed by Roshni Nepali in the Lali Bazaar film dispute.

On Tuesday, a bench of Justices Santhosh Parajuli and Surya Prasad Parajuli ordered the soft copy of the Lali Bazaar film to be shown to the bench and returned.

The court has asked the film production company to submit its details. Earlier, on June 1, the Supreme Court had ordered the High Court to watch the film and take a decision. After the Supreme Court's order, Nepali had again filed a petition in the Patan High Court.

Hearing the petition, the judges will watch the film and discuss with the two parties on Wednesday to decide whether to issue an interim order or not.

The film has been showing since Baisakh 25. If the High Court finds that the film needs to be stopped or modified after watching it, it will issue a corresponding order. Before the film was released, Nepali filed a writ petition demanding a halt to the release. However, no interim order was issued on the writ petition. She then approached the Supreme Court.
