The government has fixed the minimum support price of paddy.
The Cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today fixed the minimum support price of paddy for the fiscal year 2083/084. Accordingly, it has been decided to fix Rs. 3660 per quintal for coarse paddy and Rs. 3860 per quintal for medium paddy.
These are the 4 decisions taken by today's Cabinet meeting.
1. The reply letter to be sent to the Chinese government for the implementation of the Nepal-China Power Transmission Line Project (Chilime-Kerung) has been approved on the proposal of the Ministry of Finance.
2. As per the decision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Environment, the minimum support price of the annual paddy crop has been fixed for the fiscal year 2083/84. Under which, Rs. 3,660 per quintal for coarse paddy and Rs. 3,860 per quintal for medium paddy have been fixed.
3. It has been decided to make public the report of the Commission of Inquiry into the Situation in Cooperatives, 2082, under the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration.
4. It has been decided to appoint Joint Secretary Mukesh Dangol as the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal on the recommendation of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
