A case has been registered against medical practitioner Durga Prasain in the Parsa District Court. According to the Parsa police, a case has been registered against Prasain under the Electronic Transactions Act and Offenses Against the State.
Although the District Police Office Parsa produced Prasain in the Parsa District Court on Monday, the court sent him back saying that he could not attend the case. According to DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson of the Parsa police, Prasain will be produced in court again on Tuesday.
According to the police, Prasain has been accused of spreading hatred and malice against public decency through various media and social media, affecting ethnic and communal harmony, and creating contempt for the government.
He was arrested on the night of Jestha 40 from the Siddhartha Diyalo Hotel in Birgunj. Meanwhile, Prasain's supporters demonstrated in Birgunj on Monday as well.
