During the zero hour of today's meeting of the National Assembly, lawmakers have drawn the attention of the government to take forward the process with a clear and concrete action plan to resolve the problem of squatters.

MP Manarupa Sharma demanded that effective psychological counseling services be provided to the places where the children, senior citizens and disabled citizens of the squatters who were removed from the river banks of Kathmandu are being kept.

MP Renu Chand drew the attention of the government to protect the human rights and fundamental rights of the squatters. She demanded that clean food be provided in the holding centers where the squatters are being kept. MP Padam Bahadur Pariyar drew attention to the fact that the members of the National Assembly have been vacant for the past six months.
